G.U.C.C. Secures Sponsorship with "the Grosvenor Café"

Over the course of the summer months the GUCC Committee has been working to find a new sponsor bar to replace Faktory on Byres Road following a decision made by the committee to move to a better location.

A number of bars were brought into consideration and "reviewed" over a number of "visits" by various members of the committee.

Following successful talks with the management of the Grosvenor, GUCC will now enter an agreement for the coming year.

The deal will provide cheap drinks rates, free food and cash sponsorhip. In return, the Club will stop at the bar for drinks after every Wednesday training session and will be holding its Christmas dinner at the Lane (yeah, we're apparently doing that now).

We may well also be holding various social events at the Lane outside normal training dates.

The Lane is located on Ashton Lane, just off of Byres Road near Hillhead Subway station.
